Sweet Ray of Sunshine;-

One thing I found myself wondering when I first found out that I was pregnant, was "why us," and "why now?" Having an unexpected pregnancy can catch you extremely off guard. The first few weeks were extremely rough, I can't even lie about that. Emotions were high and neither of us were sure how to handle the situation. Thankfully, we kept our faith in God and every day has just become more of a blessing. Not only are John and I closer as a couple, but we have become more of best friends than anything. I look back to August 2014 and I wonder why we ever let petty things get between us. We definitely aren't the same people or the same couple that we were 5 months ago.

Now with this little heffer that is inside of me being the biggest blessing in our life, there has also come a lot of pain. At 7 weeks I was in the emergency room due to not being able to hold down anything. Actually during my first trimester I couldn't eat anything at all except peanut butter crackers. This resulted in me losing around 10-15 pounds. Thankfully the second trimester came fast and I got my appetite back, but not without still getting sick of course. During the beginning of my second trimester, every two and half weeks I would randomly get sick while eating. Now that my third trimester is only ONE WEEK and three days away, I get sick probably about every three and a half weeks or once a month. It's a horrible feeling, but they all say that it is worth it in the end. Now this week was an entirely different story!! Tuesday morning (1/6) I woke up John around 4:30 and we rushed to the emergency room. I was having horrible sharp pains, couldn't walk without hurting, and was sick to my stomach. They immediately sent me to labor & delivery! Finally..... three hours later, they gave me pain medication and got me put up in a room. Next thing I knew they were keeping me there overnight. I honestly wasn't complaining because I love being in the hospital. Come to find out I had a gallbladder attack. This was due to my horrible eating habits and a wonderful baby that was pushing on my gallbladder. The worst thing about this was I was only allowed to eat jello. The doctor wouldn't let me eat normal food until my pain stopped. Thursday morning, they sent me home with pain medication and all was well. This little rascal inside of me has been an active gymnast ever since I got home. So now that I'm done rambling, let's just pray that the next few weeks go by smoothly because hospitals make John uneasy when I'm laying up in a bed in horrible pain! I think he might have had a worse night at the hospital than I did. :(

So here is a 4D picture of our little angel at exactly 25 weeks. She kept her arms in her face the entire time, but those lips are too cute. I definitely can't wait to meet her. Huge shout out to First Glimpse Ultrasound for all the amazing help they have been during my pregnancy. They have always gotten the best pictures of her. So check out their facebook: First Glimpse Facebook

How far along are you? 25 weeks and 4 days! Only 1 week & 3 days until I hit third trimester! :)
Total weight gain/loss: My next appointment is Wednesday, so we will have to see then! My tummy has grown, so I'm thinking at least a good 4-6 pounds!
Maternity clothes? Nuh uh! I actually wore my Dear John jeggings for date night tonight! They are actually even loose in my thighs! *snaps for that*
Sleep? It's gotten better. If I can't sleep it is because my muscles are hurting. It's hard to be comfortable when your pregnant. I miss sleeping on my stomach!
Movement? All the dang time. She is crazy. Seriously, she jumps around like she never runs out of energy.
Anything making you queasy/sick? Not anymore! Everything that makes me sick when I eat it, well I still eat it. haha
Belly button in or out? It's still not fully out, but I'm starting to actually look a little bit more pregnant now that you can kinda see it poking.
Happy or moody most of the time? Definitely happy. I rarely get moody. I get aggravated with people when I'm driving or in public, but that's because people are just stupid.
Weekly wisdom: If you have someone that is doing everything for you or taking care of you, be sure to thank them. I couldn't imagine how rough the past few weeks or just this past week in general would have been if John wasn't there with me. He has been the biggest blessing and has definitely been my rock this whole journey.
Milestones: I found out that she isn't fond of having things against my stomach. When John places his arm on my stomach, she kicks and when the doctors strapped dopplers to my stomach, she kicked constantly. Also, she can see light now. Which is weird because she's inside of me, lol.

Baby It's Cold Outside;-

Christmas Eve is tomorrow! I hope that everyone has a very safe and very Merry Christmas! I usually want so many things for Christmas, but this year I just couldn't think of one thing that I wanted. Every time someone asked me, I just told them to get me a gift card. I'm not sure what it was this year, but at least I'll be ready to give up all of my presents next year in order to give presents to my little girl!

How far along are you? 23 Weeks :)
Total weight gain/loss? So far another 3 pounds since the last update! 6 pounds total!
Maternity clothes? I thought about going into Motherhood the other day, but it seems that my legging collection just keeps on growing!
Sleep? Thankfully, yes. I may wake up once during the night, but that is about it!
Movement? She jumps around way too much!
Food cravings? Cracker barrel! I've really been wanting chicken n dumplings, but I've also been craving a ton of macaroni and cheese!
Anything making you queasy/sick? Besides just the bacteria infection in my throat, nope. Oh and eating too fast seems to make me pretty queasy! lol
Belly button in or out? Out
Happy or moody most of the time? Mostly happy. I get grumpy here and there, but Big John always snaps me back to reality or a good mood! haha
Weekly Wisdom: Don't get a kitten when you're pregnant. They are aggravating and will keep you in a horrible mood! Also, don't eat super fast. It could end horribly.
Milestones: She is longer than a ruler. This blew my mind considering I still remember when she was the size of a bean!

Halfway There;-

How far along are you? 20 Weeks 2 Days
Total weight gain/loss? Gained 3 pounds since being preggers!
Maternity clothes? Nope! Leggings, leggings, and more leggings.
Sleep? I'm starting to actually sleep longer. Maybe it's because I've been sick, but hey I'm not complaining.
Best moment this week? I would have to say feeling the baby kick every morning.
Movement? Yes, every morning when I wake up. There are days when she is moving a lot and then some days where I can only feel her every now and then.
Food cravings? Subway and cereal.
Anything making you queasy/sick? The smell of dog/cat poop. Emma was severely sick and I got sick right along with her. I don't want to be around dog poop for a long time after that.
Belly button in or out? Almost completely out!
Happy or moody most of the time? I've been extremely happy for the most part this week! lol
Weekly Wisdom: Don't get the dissolvable nausea medicine. It will only make you want to throw up! Totally nasty.
Milestones: We have a name and we're feeling kicks!

8teen Weeks Down

22 weeks to go!

Little Nugget still doesn't have a name, but we may get close soon. We can't seem to agree on anything!! Baby is weighing in at around 7 ounces and is anywhere from 5.5-8 inches long. Somewhat the size of a sweet potato. Our nugget has some LONG legs (from what I can tell in the ultrasounds). She can somewhat already hear noises, so it won't be long before she can completely hear our voices! As for me, random sicknesses about every two weeks seem to hit me out of nowhere! I haven't had heartburn, but these ligament pains are horrible. I start my new job tomorrow, so once I start working again, I will probably be a little more tired than usual. I like having energy right now, so hopefully I still have some when I get home from work!
Here are a few facts for this week! (:

How far along? 18 weeks
Total weight gain/loss? Lost 10 pounds as of 4 weeks ago, probably gained a few back since then!

Maternity clothes? I'm just not feeling it yet! Still chilling with my yoga pants and big tshirts!
Sleep? Ugh is that even a thing? I don't even remember the last time I slept through the entire night!
Best moment this week? Starting my new job! It'll be my first time working since September! :P
Movement? I swear I felt her kick Sunday morning, but Big John thinks I'm crazy. Haven't felt a kick since, so maybe it wasn't her! haha
Food cravings? Grilled hotdogs, cereal (always craving), diet coke, chili/cheese nachos, and puppy chow (for those who don't know -- chex cereal covered in chocolate/powdered sugar).
Anything making you queasy/sick? When John bakes chicken, the smell just makes me want to punch a wall. It always smell so nasty.
Gender? For those who don't know, we are having a little princess or as John calls it "another Haley".
Belly button in or out? Well the bottom half is poking out and the top half is still an innie!
Happy or moody most of the time? I snap often. I can be completely happy and then *BAM* I have an attitude and I'm yelling or complaining at John. (oops, thanks hormones)
Weekly Wisdom: Don't skip meals. That is the simplest way to make yourself nauseous for absolutely no reason at all. If you eat a small breakfast, make sure you have a small snack to eat about an hour later. I get sick and sluggish when I haven't eaten in about 2 hours.
Milestones: We may be getting a little closer to picking out a name. This is the toughest part!

When We Go Crashing Down

We come back every time.

I'm excited to start this new blog. I have a previous blog if you'd like to check that one out by clicking HERE. This new blog is just to document this amazing journey that I have started with the love of my life and our newest addition that we will be welcoming in 22 short weeks. I say short because these weeks are flying by so fast.

So let me introduce myself and my wonderful little family! My name is Haley and I am 21 years old. (Turning 22 in December!!) I live in Louisiana and of course I can't wait to get out of here. I'm thinking Dallas, California, Georgia, or Chicago. A girl can dream right? I was majoring in Psychology, but once getting pregnant I made the decision to graduate in May of 2015 with an Associate's Degree in General Studies. I want to either go back to college for well I still don't know what or go to Cosmetology School. I was a member of Phi Mu Fraternity before finding out I was pregnant, so now I am a proud Alumnae! I've always wanted to have my own little small shop on etsy, but I haven't found something that I'm good at making yet. I have a painting addiction, but I'm no Monet! I wish I was though. I follow a ton of moms that make kid clothes on instagram and I just dream of being that talented! Anyway, this is me:

Now let me introduce you to the love of my life and our two crazy (that's an understatement) animals. So this dude almost two years ago decided to tweet me about video games, it was actually about a Nintendo 64. Ever since we've been inseparable, well for the most part. You'd think we were best friends or something. It started with a tweet on April 29,2013 - He came to an ice cream shop to meet in person on April 30 - May 1 we met on campus to have lunch together before he went to work.He walked me to my car (*Cue awkward one arm hug) - May 2 he came to my friend's house to eat dinner and do homework together (he actually ended up doing my homework) then we watched Catdog. - May 3 we finally had our first date! This consisted of mexican food at our favorite place and going to see The Evil Dead. Stupid movie choice, but hey he was cute. This would also be the night we had our first kiss! :p FINALLYYYY, on May 20 he decided to ask me to be his girlfriend. I was too excited for words. Talk about butterflies for days. Now a year and half later we have a precious little angel on the way! He will be graduating in like two weeks with a Bachelor's in Political Science. (Definitely loved this because I was kind of a politics lover when I met him.) He just turned 24, he's a gym addict, Family Guy lover (literally addicted), only eats pancakes if they have chocolate chips in them, thinks Mountain Dew Baja Blast was one of the best things invented (gross), and doesn't know how to cook. Haha, I guess that just sums him up a little bit! We got a Golden Retriever this past April, her name is Emma. She is a pain in my butt. We also have a kitten name Sammi. I want to get rid of her at times. Actually, they both are just psycho and I love them, but hate them at the same time! So here it is, meet the family:
